Welcome to Point Loma Real Estate

Point Loma is a San Diego seaside community surrounded by some of the most beautiful views the West Coast has to offer: the Pacific Ocean to the south and west, the San Diego Bay and Old Town to the east, and the San Diego River to the north.

This hilly peninsula defines coastal San Diego in more ways than one: historically as the landing spot for the first European settlers in 1542, thus the place where California began; geographically as one half of what creates the San Diego Bay; and culturally as a year-long reminder of San Diego’s diversity and time-honored traditions.

The Old Point Loma Lighthouse is an iconic beacon for anyone venturing into this coastal neighborhood. This storied structure welcomes everyone from casual tourists to yachting and fishing enthusiasts to local residents into a community of luxurious single-family homes and the heart of the peninsula: Point Loma Village.

Lined by hundreds of jacaranda trees, Point Loma Village is the commercial and retail center of the community. In addition to the Village, Liberty Station and the Midway District offer a diverse mix of restaurants, pubs, bars and breweries, waterfront parks and public shorelines which include the Sunset Cliffs Natural Park and the Point Loma Native Plant Garden.

Location Overview

Sunset Cliffs

  • Sunset Cliffs Natural Park (SCNP) is a 68-acre City of San Diego regional park which extends 1½ miles along the Point Loma peninsula's western shoreline. This unique coastal environment features expansive ocean views, dramatic cliff formations and caves, a fascinating intertidal area, and native coastal sage scrub habitat which provides connectivity to the adjacent Point Loma Ecological Reserve.

Point Loma Lighthouse

  • The Old Point Loma Lighthouse stood watch over the entrance to San Diego Bay for 36 years. Located on the military base at the southern tip of Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, the Old Point Loma Lighthouse (built in 1855) served as a beacon for sailors for centuries, and today serves as a link to our past.
